Every term we use, defined.

Plain definitions for the terms you'll see across the platform. If we use something not listed here, tell us and we'll add it.

Block
The smallest unit of ownership ReptoState issues. One block represents a small share of the property. Typically priced at Rs. 5,000.
SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle)
A Private Limited company registered with SECP whose only asset is one specific property. Each property has its own SPV — bankruptcy of one cannot affect another.
Block offering
The primary sale of blocks for a property. Blocks are listed on the platform with a defined supply (e.g. 10,000 blocks at Rs. 5,000), open and close dates, and an expected yield range.
Yield (gross / net)
Annual rental income as a percentage of the property value. Gross yield is rent before any costs; net yield is what's left for investors after platform fees, reserves and taxes.
Lock-in period
The minimum time you must hold blocks before listing them on the secondary marketplace. ReptoState's planned lock-in is 12 months after primary purchase.
Price band
The allowed deviation (±15%) between a secondary-market listing price and the latest independent valuation. Stops manipulation.
KYC (Know Your Customer)
The identity-verification process every investor completes before they can transact: CNIC or passport, selfie, proof of address.
AML (Anti-Money Laundering)
Screening and monitoring designed to ensure investor funds are from legitimate sources. Includes sanctions screening, PEP checks and suspicious-activity reporting.
Wallet
Your in-platform balance in Pakistani Rupees. Rent share lands here, and you can withdraw it to any verified bank account.
Withdrawal
Moving funds from your in-platform wallet to your bank account. Requires verified payout destination + 2-person admin approval above thresholds.
Roshan Digital Account (RDA)
A digital bank account product offered by Pakistani banks to overseas Pakistanis, designed for remitting and investing in Pakistan. ReptoState plans RDA integration in Phase 2.
Riba
Interest in Islamic finance. ReptoState's Sharia track is intended to be scholar-certified riba-free. Non-Sharia investors are unaffected.
Diminishing Musharakah
A Sharia-reviewed home-finance structure where the bank and the customer co-own the property. The customer pays rent on the bank's share and buys back a slice of its equity each month, until they own 100%.
KIBOR
Karachi Inter-Bank Offered Rate. The benchmark most Pakistani conventional mortgage rates float against (KIBOR + a spread).
CIB
Credit Information Bureau. Pakistan's central credit-history record. Banks check your CIB before approving any large loan, including mortgages.
